  How do you deal with Anxiety!

  so the other day i was walking through the huge local regional outlet shopping mall.

  i see this sign "how do deal with anxiety" didn't take very long at all to confirm it was a jw booth.. that sign bothered me.

  do jw actually think they have something to say about anxiety?

  Had my Hopes up for this Regional Convention

  heard a lot buzz for our upcoming convention.

  those that already been were saying how great it was and all the videos that were presented.. well, thus far not impressed!

  in fact many times pure insanity!

  It's not like I "lost" my virginity. I know exactly where I left it and when. I have no desire to go back and try to take it back.

  i mentally awoke.

  it took another 6 months or so to walk away for good, but this date marked the end of my belief in any conventional sense of the word.. d4g.

  Magnum: I wish I could have an anniversary like that, but, for me, it was such a gradual thing that I can't pinpoint a certain time.

  For people like us, we don't have to have one special day each year... we can celebrate EVERY DAY as a special day free from the cult!

  Conversation with ultra dub relative. Pure quality this one

  if any one has been taking note of my posts, it could be said that i often mention conversations i have had with dubbies.

  in some ways not been dfed has allowed me to gain some real in sight into how they think and their justification for things.

  the following is a conversation i just had with an ultra super dub relative, and to be honest i don't know weather i should be laughing or crying over it.. relative: the rc this year is going to be held in the assembly hall.

  Relative: the RC this year is going to be held in the assembly hall. They arnt using the stadiums any more.

  Same with my family. Their region is now also their circuit. Forget the hotel arrangements and wearing badges to "witness", now they go see the same faces in the same place and get drive-thru on the way home afterward.

  Just a short observation on self inflicted misery.

  i used to post on this site a few years back but after moving on personally and being shunned by my only remaining family member for the last 4-5 years i the j.w's became just background noise to me.

  yet yesterday something happened that brought back to me the degree of control this cult has over it's members.

  a new wall mart recently opened in my little mountain town here in northern georgia, u.s. as i headed across the parking lot on my way into the store the heat was intense, wit a humidity factor of around 90%.

  One of the COs "encouraged" all the congs in our circuit to buy tents and displays to take advantage of this Walmart policy a couple of times each year. They can have a stand, but can't approach customers.
  

  Locally, there were zero results, usually no conversations. Didn't hear anything positive from others, either. But the CO got to crow about it in his report to the branch.

  i'm just curious if any body knows or can give an example of a kingdom hall that needed renovating/repairing after the kh bank accounts were stripped.

  Perhaps, but will they be raising those kinds of funds again?

  I suspect that as time passes, incidents such as these will be remembered by the sheeple and give them reason to not give as generously as the GB wants.

  I Don't Get It!

  there are literally about thirty young single very good looking sisters in this one kingdom hall under the age of 30. that is just one kingdom hall.

  in the circuit there are literally hundreds of young beautiful jw girls under 30 who are single and anxious to get married.

  about two years ago, this one single good looking brother who is about 30 years old and who is an elder married this plain looking sister who is 59 years old.

  i hope everyone is having a good saturday.

  i've visited this many times in the past month or so, joined yesterday and finally got the nerve to post!

  needless to say, i'm super nervous, being new to this whole experience.

  according to a jw contact, one of the speakers at the regional conventiontm stated that "for evolution to be true, two of the same kind would have had to evolve at the same time; one would have to be male and the other would have to be female, and then they would have to find each other".

  apparently the crowd had a good laugh over how evolutionists overlook such a simple "fact".. i mentioned that bacteria and viruses use asexual reproduction, and that many sea creatures / fish, etc.

  are hermaphrodite and do not require a sexual partner to produce offspring.. oddly enough, the conversation stopped there.

  According to a JW contact, one of the speakers at the Regional Convention™ stated that "for evolution to be true, two of the same kind would have had to evolve at the same time; one would have to be male and the other would have to be female, and then they would have to find each other". Apparently the crowd had a good laugh over how evolutionists overlook such a simple "fact".

  Of course, a JW argument like this against evolution is also an argument against the Noachian flood.

  For example, upon leaving the ark, the two kangaroos would have to travel together in close contact all the way to Australia over mountain and water. If they would have strayed far from each other, they would have lost contact and become extinct. And technically it isn't just one kangaroo species, so the WT model of history would require several such pairs to make the journey without evolving in any way. And the same thing would have to happen with all those other unique animals down under, including the koala which only eats eucalyptus leaves. If they didn't evolve to this diet, it's the only thing they could have eaten the last 6000 years. So they would have had to travel along a string of these trees from Turkey to Australia... and those trees along the way would have died and left no trace that they ever existed in the area.

  Now the forum can have a good laugh over how JWs overlook such a simple fact.
